Dr. Jimmy Reyes Selected as Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing

The Iowa Community HUB is proud to share that our Board Chairman, Dr. Jimmy Reyes, PhD, DNP, AGNP, RN, FRE, has been selected to become a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing (FAAN)—one of the highest honors in the nursing profession.

Induction into the Academy recognizes nurse leaders whose contributions have significantly improved health and health care. Fellows are selected through a highly competitive process and represent a distinguished group of professionals driving change through policy, research, practice, and leadership.

Dr. Reyes’ selection reflects a deep and ongoing commitment to advancing health across communities. As Board Chairman of the Iowa Community HUB, he has played a vital role in guiding our mission, strengthening partnerships, and expanding access to community-based care throughout Iowa.

The 2026 class of Fellows represents individuals from across the United States and around the globe, bringing diverse perspectives and expertise to the Academy’s work. Together, they will continue advancing health policy and innovation to improve lives everywhere.

Dr. Reyes will be formally inducted at the American Academy of Nursing’s Health Policy Conference, held October 8–10, 2026, in Washington, DC. Following the ceremony, he will carry the FAAN credential—signifying one of the most respected distinctions in nursing.
