Improving Access to Arthritis Care Across Iowa

Chronic conditions often occur together, increasing health risks and affecting daily life. Arthritis is one of the most common and impactful, contributing to chronic pain, mobility challenges, and a higher risk of falls. In Iowa alone, more than 619,000 adults live with arthritis, and it commonly coexists with other conditions like heart disease, diabetes, and obesity.

Managing arthritis can be complex, especially when barriers such as transportation, language differences, or limited awareness make accessing care more difficult. The Iowa Community HUB is addressing these challenges in collaboration with network partners by connecting individuals to resources and programs that support better health and help prevent and manage chronic conditions.
