Calling on All Gardeners!

The Grow an Extra Row campaign, encourages gardeners to grow a little extra produce to donate to your local food pantry every year. Donations of any freshly picked fruits, vegetables, and herbs are always welcome and much needed. The fresher the better! Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, more people are in need….and what they need are healthy options to fight off disease!

Our Grow an Extra Row campaign is being coordinated by the Community Health and Wellness Initiative whose mission is to address Obesity, Inactivity, Poor Nutrition and Mental Health in our community. Over 40 different businesses and organizations across Iowa are part of the Community Health and Wellness Initiative where we reach all across central Iowa.
